Evesham, United Kingdom (PressExposure) February 10, 2012 -- Plumbworld is the UK's biggest online retailer of bathrooms, showers and general plumbing supplies to both DIY enthusiasts and trade professionals. With an ever increasing range and selection of shower enclosures and bath tubs, Plumbworld continues to grow and leave its mark on the online Plumbing sector.
Over the last few weeks, the work and effort put into the business by all members of staff at Plumbworld has been exceptional. It's not been easy as orders have dramatically increased over the Christmas period and a stock check had to be done on thousands of products in the warehouse. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel and this light comes in the form of a splendid Christmas meal for all members of staff.
The meal will be held at a local pub favoured by the Managing Director, James Hickman and with an expected turnout of over 70% of the business's staff, the meal looks set to be a large, festive, success.
The Queens Head will be the pub of choice for the meal, located in the beautiful village of Elmley Castle. The menu features some stunning dishes, most notably the beef and turkey mains which will likely be the popular choice by all those going.
Scott Morris, E-Commerce Manager at Plumbworld gave a few quick words about the forthcoming Christmas meal: "Everyone seems to be looking forward to it, and it's always a nice way to socialise with some people in the business which you might not get to see that often. It's also enjoyable to see people in a more casual environment as it can spur different types of conversation which may not be had at work."
Between the meal on the 23rd and New Years, Plumbworld staff will be continuing to work as they ensure everything is set and ready to bring in the new year. This is tradition and a tradition that has paid off as they are never behind when the next year officially starts; being on top of everything to bring in the New Year will hopefully yield another successful 12 months at Plumbworld.
James Cook, Web Admin at Plumbworld briefly talked about the meal: "The marketing department are excited, with our beef mains ordered, a free bar and good company; the night will only get better and better!"
Plumbworld was established in 1999 by James and Anita Hickman and was later sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006, they now employ over 50 people in their purpose built warehouse and offices and turnover close to £20 million a year. The Plumbworld Empire expands month by month with new additions to staff and websites; the current website count sits at 50+ with more in the pipeline. The websites vary hugely and specialise in anything from woodburning stoves and bathroom suites to shower pumps and triton showers.
