Evesham, United Kingdom (PressExposure) February 10, 2012 -- The Christmas meal was a huge success with an extremely large turnout of staff attending on the night. The food was delicious as expected and the free bar was most definitely a big favourite with the staff; not such a favourite for the person paying the tab, however!
Now that the staff have had the weekend off and had time for both the Christmas work meal and their Christmas meal to go down and digest; it's time to get to work. A lot of the staff has been called into the warehouse for more running around, picking and packing and other miscellaneous jobs down there. Everyone is chipping in, whether it's packaging a Mira shower for delivery or picking out a set of bathroom taps for an order; it's all helpful in this 'all hands on deck' situation.
The motivation is high for working at this time of year and that's due to brilliant managerial skills and the ability to keep a positive attitude. As well as this, it's also a good way to lose the extra pounds gained from those huge meals over the Christmas weekend, who knew working in a warehouse could be such good cardio?
Scott Morris, E-Commerce Manager at Plumbworld commented on the warehouse goings on; "It's not uncommon for me to find myself down in the warehouse helping out with picking and packing, it's a long way from my standard day job, but I put in the same amount of effort regardless. If it helps the company, then it is benefiting everyone and this is the mentality everyone in a business should have." He continues to say; "The effort down in the warehouse is at an all time high, everyone is working as a team and we're steaming forward like a well oiled machine; we're easily on track for bringing in the New Year".
Plumbworld will be looking to expand their ranges of bathroom suites, which include a variety of toilets, baths, showers and other fittings as 2012 comes in. They continue to look out for the best interests of all their customers by providing as much of a selection as possible; this way, virtually everyone's needs can be catered for.
Tim Hodge, Web Administrator at Plumbworld added: "We're always looking to meet customer's needs as best we can and most of the time I think it's safe to say we do a great job of it; however, as with everything, there's always room to improve, which we strive to do. On a side note; the Christmas meal put on for the staff was truly incredible, it was a real feast and I'd like to thank everyone involved in setting that up and making the event as enjoyable and delicious as it was!"
Plumbworld was established in 1999 by James and Anita Hickman and was later sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006, they now employ over 50 people in their purpose built warehouse and offices and turnover close to £20 million a year. The Plumbworld Empire expands month by month with new additions to staff and websites; the current website count sits at 50+ with more in the pipeline. The websites vary hugely and specialise in anything from multifuel stoves and bathroom suites to shower pumps and Mira showers.
