New York, New York (PressExposure) January 05, 2012 -- Sure, there might be lots of strong accomplished female icons in today's entertainment business, but I doubt there are any that approach freedom of expression and identity transformation the way Ysan Roche does.
Ysan Roche is a Music-Fashion-Film (MFF) artist who represents a new generation of pop music called Black Yellow Pop.
Ms. Roche defines Black Yellow Pop as a musical realm where people are free to express themselves without feeling the need to fit into a mainstream genre or niche.
"If you chewed up goth, rock and electro music and spat it out, it would be Black Yellow Pop," Ms. Roche said.
"It symbolizes the combination of beauty and darkness, being shocking but also glamorous, and ultimately accepting the good with the bad - the ups and downs of life," she said.
"Stylistically Black Yellow Pop has strong bass and danceable beats, but soft emotional harmonies and undertones."
Ms. Roche said that artists thesedays must be able to traverse across different artistic platforms.
"Performers these days have to multitask. They can't be confined to one genre anymore," she said.
Often asked why she feels the need to change her identity and appearance so often, she said that people should have the right to express themselves however they wish.
"Just because you are born a certain way doesn't mean you can't be whoever you want to be," she said.
"Through my music, fashion and overall identity, I want to show people that life is about constant self transformation - you can take control of your identity and destiny at any time you choose."
The evolution and metamorphosis of Ysan Roche ultimately led her to become the strong, adaptable female performer she is today. Her music has spread all over the internet, becoming popular in the US, Europe and all around the world. Fans and critics say she is pinned to be the next pop sensation.
