Wrightsville Beach, NC (PressExposure) February 03, 2012 -- Holly Beck, professional surfer and environmental advocate, will be joining the WB Surf Camp team this summer. After dominating the NSSA National Women's circuit in her amateur career, she spent 10 years on the ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals) Women's World Tour traveling and competing with her peers. During her competitive years she was a media delight. Holly appeared on countless TV shows/networks including ESPN, MTV, and the WB's Boarding House: North Shore, as well as many magazine covers and environmental/sports news related websites.
During this 14 day camp, participants will soak up everything Costa Rica has to offer alongside Holly and WB Surf Camp's professional team of surf instructors. Campers' surf skills and in-water knowledge will skyrocket as they explore a combination of several beaches and breaks along Costa Rica's Northwest coast. Within Costa's tropical climate where air and water temperatures hover around 80 degrees year round, teens will learn the meaning of "Pura Vida" and surf amazing waves with professional surf instruction. While exploring and learning to improve through advanced coaching, participants will be surfing 2 solid sessions per day, taking daily conversational Spanish lessons, zip-lining through a tropical rainforest canopy, exploring Rincon de la Vieja National Park, and giving back to the locals while working to earn community service credits.
WB Surf Camp is very excited to welcome Holly as one of their professional surf instructors for the first two week session of this Costa Rica Teen Adventure.
