San Jose, CA (PressExposure) February 06, 2014 -- Quorum®, the leading provider of one-click backup, recovery and continuity for the midmarket, today announced a new addition to its executive team. Tony Craythorne has joined Quorum as vice president of sales, bringing with him a wealth of experience in developing fast growth channels worldwide.
Craythorne most recently served as senior vice president of worldwide sales at Connected Data/Drobo, where he assumed responsibility for all sales and marketing. His accomplishments there included leading the successful launch of the company's private cloud solutions and managing the merger with Drobo. Prior to Connected Data/Drobo, Craythorne was the senior vice president of global channel sales at 3VR, Inc. While there, channel revenue grew over 100 percent; international growth surged over 150 percent.
His experience at Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) and Brocade, however, defined his career to date. At HDS, Craythorne served as vice president, Global Modular Channels, successfully growing the midrange storage business. He also led OEM sales during his tenure there, and redesigned server partner and alliance programs that ultimately accelerated growth and achieved new design wins. As Director of Worldwide Channel Sales at Brocade, Craythorne built the company's channel program and strategy from scratch, growing Brocade's channel business significantly and achieving total channel quota of $1 billion for FY08. His success at Brocade earned him a spot on CRN's prestigious list of Channel Chiefs in 2007 and 2008.
"Quorum is an exciting company, leading innovation in an industry that demands a dynamic, forward-thinking solution to the costliness of system downtime," said Craythorne. "This role is a rare opportunity to be part of a team that is driving change in disaster recovery as the leading provider of DRaaS for the midmarket."
"Tony's background in IT sales and his reputation for building out successful channel programs make him an ideal choice to lead the Quorum sales organization," said Walter Angerer, interim CEO, Quorum. "His insight and experience will be invaluable as we continue to carve out new sales opportunities worldwide."
