Rackmount Powerstrip or Vertical Powerstrip PDU's Can Be Operated Remotely and Provide Environmental Data

Mansfield, Tx (PressExposure) April 27, 2010 -- ISC, Information Support Concepts, Inc. announces new line of Geist Rackmount Powerstrip and Vertical PDU models that have the ability to be accessed remotely and access key environmental factors such as heat and humidity in sensitive computer environments. Introduced originally as RacSense and now as Geist, these rackmount powerstrips offer some of the most advanced off the shelf PDU, power distribution unit, assemblies available anywhere. The ability to remotely turn individual receptacles on or off has proven to be a tremendous time saver for network techs. They can now work at one location and eliminate drive time or the expense of an additional person at the other site.

Rackmount powerstrip models include the very basic 15 amp non-metered to complex PDU, power distribution unit, varieties up to 30 amps. Currently, ISC offers series for the following applications.

BR, SP: Basic 15-20 amp EM: Ethernet Metered RSM: Remote Power and Environmental Monitoring RCM: Remote Power, Monitoring and Alarming RCU: Remote Power, Individual Receptacle, Monitoring and Alarming RSS: Satellite Remote Power, Alarming

Because of product flexibility, there are many "custom" variations that can be made with standard components.
