New York, NY (PressExposure) June 02, 2009 -- For the first time in its 23-year history, the famous Red Bank Jazz and Blues Festival will be broadcast live by Paltalk.com, so that fans from around the world can have a seat by the stage from their own homes and watch the 40+ acts live. Participants will be able to see and hear the performances on stage, as well as text and voice chat with one another about the acts using Paltalk's Voice over IP (VoIP) technology. This year's event takes place June 5th, 6th and 7th.
Each year some 75,000 people attend the three-day festival on the banks of the Navesink River at Marine Park in New Jersey to hear some of the best Jazz and Blues around. Because of the tough economic times, each of the 40+ acts has agreed to initially forgo payment for playing the event, which is free and open to all. A decision about payment for the musicians will be made after the festival is completed and will be based on how much money is donated by those who attend.
Paltalk will be providing the web cast free of charge to the Red Bank Jazz and Blues Festival. The broadcast will be available for the 4 million Paltalk members as well as all lovers of jazz and blues.
Paltalk, the largest multimedia, interactive social networking program on the Internet, has demonstrated its commitment to music in the past by broadcasting live video chat interviews and performances with such notable musicians as Slash, JoJo, Ludacris, Darius Rucker and Lonestar.
