Middlebury, CT (PressExposure) November 22, 2009 -- The Second Annual âOne Tank Travel Expoâ returns Sunday, June 13 to Quassy Amusement Park, Route 64, here, park officials announced today.
Registration is currently under way for the 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. expo, which will be set up along the walkways at the lakeside park. The event will be open to the public with no general admission charged. Parking at Quassy is $5.
âThe 2009 travel expo was a huge success,â said George Frantzis II, a Quassy Amusement Park co-owner. âWe had many positive comments from vendors as well as the public, so it was an easy decision on our part to bring the event back to Quassy.â
âWe know that during these challenging economic times, many families will again be vacationing closer to home next year. The âOne Tank Travel Expoâ will showcase the outstanding amenities right on our doorstep,â Frantzis added. âWe coined the phrase âone tank â meaning things close enough to home to visit on a tank of gasoline.â
Businesses interested in participating in the expo are required to pre-register by filling out the Travel Expo Registration on the Press Room page at http://www.quassy.com. There is no fee for qualified businesses in the tourism industry to participate in the expo.
The event is being presented by AAA Allied Group, Inc., WTNH News Channel 8, radio station WATR and Quassy.
Guests will be able to register for a number of prizes and pick up giveaway items, while supplies last, along the expo trail.
Rides, attractions and food will be available for purchase at Quassy the day of the âOne Tank Travel Expo.â
