Orlando, Florida (PressExposure) May 08, 2013 -- Lace up your sneakers and hit the mud running! Kissimmee Blue Skies Adventure Race at Formosa Gardens Village will feature the most exciting, patriotic-themed obstacle course during the Kissimmee Blue Skies & Silver Spurs Festival on Saturday, June 1. Race registration begins at 6 a.m. and the race kicks off at 7 a.m.
During the race, hosted by Formosa Gardens Village, participants of all ages and experience will have their level of adventure tested by five miles of obstacles such as Bronco Hurdles, Chasing the Cans, Feeding Troth, The Stalls, The Wall, and The Wagon Trail.
The Adventure Race occurs in conjunction with a hot air balloon launch. Beginning in the early morning hours of race day, dozens of hot air balloons of all shapes and sizes will take flight and fill the sky.
"While the balloons are floating above, there will be a fun challenge below with the race," says Mary Ellen Kerber of Formosa Developers, Inc. "It's the only race in which runners can look forward to seeing hot air balloons soaring above as they tackle the obstacle course."
The race is fully sanctioned and professionally timed. Early registrations include a free race shirt. All participants will receive a race medal and prizes awarded to the first five male and female racers. Non-runners can also join in on the fun with free parking, free admission, and the best views of the flying hot air balloons.
Clarion Suites Maingate, located conveniently at 7888 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee, will be offering a special rate of $ 69.00 per night for the Adventure Race.
The community also boasts a variation of restaurants including Outback, TGI Fridays, Red Lobster, Carrabba's, Winn Dixie, Cracker Barrel, plus a Buffalo Wild Wings featuring 3-D television and electric car chargers.
