Sacramento, CA (PressExposure) November 06, 2012 -- Summer is through and along with it the hectic time of year for residential home moving comes to a end. However rather than dropping hours for team members, Sacramento Moving Company has hired on two new movers. The company had a busier-than-ever October with their crew being entirely utilized on non-peak move times. The additional crew members is going to open up availability allowing the company to schedule more moves at peak moving periods such as the weekends and the beginning and end of the month, rather than turning away people who would like to move with the company but are unable to owing to a full schedule of moves.
Sacramento Movers' newest employees both came from American River College in Sacramento. Dave had studied psychology there before finding a job as a mover. He said he is glad to be in a job where he will be able to "help people." In his free time, Dave enjoys poetry as a leisure activity. The second new face at Sacramento Moving Company is Phil. Prior to obtaining a position as a mover Phil studied professional audio engineering at American River College. A true musician at heart, Phil usually spends his free time playing electric guitar. He decided to secure a position as a mover because he needed a reliable, full time position, which would be challenging to find in the niche of audio engineering.
Training for the new movers began on November 6th with a morning of watching informative training videos. One of Sacramento Moving Company's key trainers, Michael, lead the new employees through the training day including reviewing the training manual that all the company's workers must know before going out on a job. The afternoon was filled with hands on training in the company's warehouse, where the new crew members learned how to accurately pad and stretch wrap all home furniture pieces and cautiously fill them on the truck. One thing that sets Sacramento Movers apart from other moving companies is the fact that each new hire spends considerable time in the warehouse learning and practicing how to appropriately protect both the customer's possessions and the building.
