Solana Beach, CA (PressExposure) April 01, 2011 -- 27 years ago today, attorney Georgine Brave set up shop with a small and humble typewriter stand and an IBM Selectric typewriter. She would do anything for a $400 flat fee from immigration work, personal injury to writing a will. However, she learned over time with the empathy she developed from her own personal experiences that her niche was divorce and family law work.
A 1983 graduate of the University of San Diego Law School, Georgine Brave was a teacher before entering the legal profession. A New York native, Ms. Brave is among the most vigorous Family Law advocates in San Diego. Her talents as a tough adversary and a successful negotiator earn her the praise of both clients and the business community. In 1998 and 1999, she was nominated for the "Women Who Mean Business" award sponsored by the San Diego Business Journal and has served on the prestigious Board of Directors of the Women's Legal Center for 12 years.
Empathetic and understanding, Ms. Brave's approach to Family Law incorporates her 27 years of legal experience with unique sensitivity and superior communication skills gained through working with students and families. Ms. Brave has provided free legal service to HIV positive clients through San Diego Volunteer Lawyers and has volunteered for 9 years through "Reach to Recovery" program of the American Cancer Society with breast cancer patients. Her warm support and ability to clarify complex issues has helped numerous clients through various complex legal processes. She can be tough when she needs to be tough and can settle when it is time to settle.
Now she leads Brave, Weber & Mack, a premier boutique family law and mediation firm based in Solana Beach, California and serving all of San Diego County. Ms. Brave with her partners, Shawn Weber and Julie Mack, form the unbeatable team of Brave, Weber & Mack. Reflecting on the years, Ms. Brave reports, "I am so grateful to our team and our staff. Together we have provided great service through the years to our grateful clients."
Says Mr. Weber, "I have been very pleased and honored to work with a fine attorney like Georgine. She has been a tremendous mentor, an excellent partner and a good friend."
Says Ms. Mack, "Georgine is an incredible advocate and educator. There is no one I'd rather have on my side through any type of conflict. I am proud to be a part of her team."
So, here's a toast to Georgine for the tremendous accomplishment of 27 years in practice. May she have many more years to add to an already stellar career.
