Santa Claus Reaches Beyond Commercial Hype

Staatsburg, NY (PressExposure) November 13, 2008 --, located in Staatsburg, New York is pleased to announce their donations to Al’s Angels, an organization whose mission is providing moments of joy and comfort to families that are challenged by childhood cancer, rare blood diseases, AIDS and domestic violence. Through hard work, an amazing group of volunteers, and tremendous generosity, Al’s Angels is able to help thousands of children in the tri-state area.

Designating themselves as the “most personalized Santa letter on the ‘net”, sends Santa letters from the North Pole. These Santa letters let parents tell their children how proud they are for their accomplishments of the previous year, thereby benefiting the sender, the receiver, and an organization that strives to make the lives of children and their families a little bit better.

Owner Laurie Wajda said “Kids do some pretty amazing things, but it seems the focus in the news is more on the bad eggs than the good ones. I just want kids to be able to recognize that they are pretty great. Who better to deliver that message than Santa?” In this spirit, Santa gives praise to receivers of letters, and also makes it possible to better the life of another child.

Laurie Wajda was born and raised in New York and is a mother of four. She is a huge proponent of using Santa’s influence on children to make them realize the good in them rather than to make them be good. She was inspired by her oldest daughter to start sending letters, when she came home from kindergarten crying because someone at school told her there was no Santa.

Residing in the Hudson Valley now for 40 years, her work is focused on making the world a bit brighter for children. Each year, she picks a children’s cause or charity to donate to; this year her focus is on Al’ Angel’s and will donate not only money but time as a volunteer. She says it is very rewarding to know she’s helped, even if in only a small way.

Santa letters are mailed from the North Pole and can be ordered through December 10th. For more information go to []
