Peekskill, NY (PressExposure) October 09, 2009 -- The Scuba Sports Club of Westchester County, New York, a not-for-profit membership association, is proud to present its first SCUBA PALOOZA, a new community event for scuba divers, water sports enthusiasts, and friends of our oceans and waterways. This event is geared to provide the community with information on local resources for scuba divers, whether they are beginners, advanced or expert, those who want to try scuba diving but do not know where to turn, and anyone interested in finding out more about the sport itself and the environment divers enjoy, our oceans and waterways.

The venue for this event’s premiere is the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, New York. SCUBA PALOOZA will feature a number of informative and exciting presentations, as well as an exhibit area with displays by local scuba diving shops, scuba groups, community and environmental associations. The event includes an area for kids complete with souvenir photo opportunity, and a few surprises. Net proceeds of SCUBA PALOOZA will be donated to the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.

SCUBA PALOOZA focuses on scuba diving in all its facets, including education and training, medical and technical advances, underwater photography, equipment and accessories, group activities, local diving as well as dive travel destinations, and more. The Scuba Sports Club will be at hand to point interested parties in the right direction.
