Detroit, Michigan (PressExposure) November 24, 2008 -- Some may say that doing business in Michigan is difficult, and has been for some time. Many people have been leaving Michigan for more prosperous opportunities in neighboring and distant states. Despite the outlook, seven entrepreneurs have determined their future is in Michigan and are not giving up doing business here.
When it comes to difficult times, it is often your friends you look to. Thatâs exactly what one entrepreneur did. JoAnn Gibson, of Non-Stop Customer Service, a customer service training and consulting firm in Detroit, had an idea for bringing her friends together to offer a new service and a new opportunity. JoAnnâs idea was to offer smaller segments of her customer service training in lunch-sized portions. But instead of offering only her specialty of Customer Service, she asked her friends, other established business women with different specialties, to add to the menu. Thus, Lunchtime Learning was established. The menu consists of seven topics from professional to family to just plain fun, conducted on-site in 75 minutes.
âI choose to do business in Michigan not just because I have established ties to the city and state. Itâs about believing that Michigan will rebound and prosper again. I believe everyone involved in Lunchtime Learning has this same passion for seeing things out here in Michigan,â states JoAnn.
The other women business owners on the Lunchtime Learning menu are:
Diversity................... Patricia Cole of Client Focused Solutions Feng Shui..................Ann Kucera of Space of Possibility Elder Care.................Sharon White of Bedside Notes Communication..........Jennifer Eichenberg of Eichenberg & Associates Time Management......Sheila Hawkins of Third Eye Group Professionalism..........Denitra Townsend of Unforgettable You!
