Los Angeles, CA (PressExposure) June 25, 2009 -- KIIS FM has announced the beginning of their summer dance competition, looking for Southern California's Best Dance Crew. The winner will receive a private instruction session from "So You Think You Can Dance" choreographer and "Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew" judge, Shane Sparks. The winner will also win $5,000 cash, a year of session space at Millennium Dance Studio, and tickets to a taping of MTV's America's Best Dance Crew.
Of the contest, Sparks shares, "The youth out there finds that KIIS FM is the hottest radio station out there. It is perfect for them to do a contest like this. It's my pleasure to offer my time and talent to this beautiful occasion. I'm excited!"
Crews can submit tapes of their performance online at KIISfm.com. A panel of judges will then ask the best to compete in a live showcase located at Universal City Walk. Online votes will narrow it down to 5 crews, and on August 24, 2009 there will be a live finals competition to determine the winner.
"Randy Jackson Presents: America's Next Best Dance Crew" is going on its fourth season this coming August. Sparks can currently be seen on Fox's hit show "So You Think You Can Dance" as a choreographer.
