Delhi, India (PressExposure) November 14, 2010 -- The expert committee from the department of Union Environmental Ministry has cleared that there is no any kind of disturbance/problem to the environment from the Shirdi Airport which is under construction. So, the Sai devotees coming to Shirdi from various corners of the country will be benefited soon. The interested devotees can come to Shirdi by aero plane, said Chairman of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi Jayant Sasane.
Sasane added that the devotees from all corners of the world use to come to Shirdi to seek the blessing of Shri Saibaba and to pay their obeisance as now, the information of Shri Saibaba has been reached to everywhere in the world. The decision was taken by the central government to install the separate railway station and air port for Shirdi. Accordingly, the railway station has been constructed and the trains have started their back and forth journeys from this station.
Many devotees use to come to Shirdi by train. In addition to this, the land for airport has been acquired at Kakadi village, 13 Km away from Shirdi. The Bhoomipujan of this air port was done by Chief Minister of Maharashtra government Ashok Chavan on 27th August, 2010. This work of airport installation is assigned to the reputed Hyderabad based company Soubhagya Project Pvt. Limited. This company has started the work runway and taxi way. The expert committee from Union environmental department has visited and cleared that there is nay kind of harm to the environment if, the airport is installed on this acquired land. He also hoped that this airport would have the all amenities for the national and international passengers.
Maharashtra Airport Development Company has already declared to pay the compensation to the persons having their farm houses on this acquired land of 340 hectare. There are limited farmhouses. There is no any kind of sensitive or prohibited area around this land. This has also been cleared by the committee. Committee has also recommended that tree can be planted around this land but should not go for horticulture. The committee will send this report to the Union environmental department. This department will take the final decision. However, the committee has not taken any kind of objection over this entire project as per the planning. So, this seems to be the green signal by the environmental department, added Sasane.
