New York, New York (PressExposure) February 07, 2012 -- Skrivanek Group, a premier provider of translations, localization and related languages services, has been awarded ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management in recognition of its high standard of environmental best practice.
This globally recognised certification - as yet quite rare in the translation business - sets conditions regarding aspects of environmental management. Certification for ISO 14001 means that Skrivanek correctly disposes of waste, practices smart consumption of energy and materials, promotes energy conservation and recycling and thereby reduces the environmental impact of its work. Skrivanek's aim is to raise this awareness amongst its employees, to enable them to carry out their work with the same consideration.
"Skrivanek takes a very serious approach towards the impact of its activities on the environment. By making a commitment to reduce waste and energy consumption, we are taking an important step toward conducting our business with regard to environmental matters and we hope to inspire other business organizations to be part of the green movement," said Michal Küfhaber, General Production Manager. "Combining this with our ISO 9001 certification provides us with a basis to boost our current processes and achieve continuous improvements."
After the environmental management system of Skrivanek Czech Republic and Slovak Republic had been certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001, from 2012 all Skrivanek branches worldwide have been awarded this accreditation.
This voluntary achievement demonstrates Skrivanek's dedication to set and achieve high environmental, health and safety goals. All Skrivanek's clients can be confident that the organisation not only complies with important environmental policies and best practices, but also thanks to documented processes and procedures strives to achieve a constant improvement in performance.
