New York, NY (PressExposure) May 22, 2009 -- Edcomm Bankerâs Academyâs Advanced Development Center softball team began the season Wednesday night with a big 10-6 win over Coactiv in the Horsham Township Adult Softball Slow-Pitch League. This is Edcommâs second season in league, having made the playoffs in their first season.

The offense was led by catcher Beth Megronigle who went a perfect 3 for 3 and scored 3 runs. Edcommâs balanced attack included 4 others with 2 hits apiece â Battinieri, Roberts, Byer and right center fielder Jim Hornberger. Supplying the power were Groff and designated hitter Matt Kozar who each added home runs.
On defense, Team Edcomm was perfect with no errors over the last 5 innings, showing a solid infield and great range in the outfield. First baseman Heather Maurone anchored the infield with a team-high 11 put-outs.
