Jacksonville Beach, Florida (PressExposure) July 18, 2008 -- Software602, Inc., a leading provider of all-in-one software for business, today announced the release of Software602 Groupware Server 6.0, a web collaboration server designed for small-to-midsize organizations. This new server is based on the previous success of 602LAN SUITE and adds corporate Instant Messaging with searchable archive, a redesigned web client with RSS support, real-time spam filter using Commtouch RPD technology, and much more.
âPerhaps the strongest feature of Groupware Server 6 is the ability to communicate through e-mail and instant messaging seamlessly with the capability to full-text search any sent or received messageâ, said Premysl Pech, president of Software602. âWith the built-in Internet Security it provides an affordable and maintenance-free solution to viruses and spam.â
The all-new Groupware Server client integrates e-mail, RSS feeds, public folders, contacts, tasks, shared calendars, online document sharing and archiving into a rich browser-based interface providing access to all collaboration functionality from anywhere. With the Outlook Connector, users can continue using Microsoft Outlook without the need to invest in an Exchange Server.
All email and instant messages are saved to a SQL based read-only archive that cannot be modified. The full-text search engine can quickly find any e-mail, attachment, instant message, contact, calendar or document object. Create, share, and publish documents online with shared document storage accessible from a web browser, FTP client, or WebDAV.
Software602 Groupware Server accounts can be synchronized from Active Directory and multiple servers can be updated through LDAP directory services. With the optional Internet Security Subscription, users receive BitDefender anti-virus updates and Commtouch Real-time anti-spam service for one-year, and can benefit from a maintenance-free solution that works out-of-the-box.
Pricing starts at $299.95 per server, which includes a 10-user license. Learn more and download the trial, here:
