Tampa, FL (PressExposure) July 28, 2014 -- The American Software Testing Qualifications Board (ASTQB) has introduced the 2014-2015 research grant initiative to support academic research that advances the practice of software testing.

- Realistic early scoping of the testing effort (schedule and budget)
- Appropriate testing techniques for a specific application domain or development methodology
- Adapting established approaches to new problems such as security assurance
- Responding to emerging technological challenges (mobile applications or 'big data,' for instance)
- Establishing justifiable exit criteria (when to stop testing)
"As the U.S. Board for the world's most popular software tester certification, we appreciate how ISTQB Certification offers a career path for software testers," said ASTQB President Judy McKay, CTAL Full, CTEL-TM Full.
