Dedham, MA (PressExposure) March 12, 2012 -- This article focuses on the ease of using the Custom Code Score Card when creating and using custom codes. Custom code is necessary for company-specific requirements and innovations. However, continually creating custom code requires excessive maintenance and costly upgrades, and can hold unforeseeable risks. During an upgrade or Support Package implementation, custom code referencing SAP is handled and adjusted, and often new code is created. The Custom Code Lifecycle Management application allows a company to bundle new and modified code into a custom code library.
The authors make it clear that upgrade and new Support Packages for SAP are meant to improve functionality and ease of use, which cannot happen if time is being spent on tracking new and modified code that comes along with said upgrades. Bob Croce, product director of SAPexperts comments, "Using a custom code library allows an SAP organization to grow while maintaining custom application needs. The Custom Code Lifecycle Management application allows a company to properly plan and reinforce actions for managing custom code."
