Los Angeles, California (PressExposure) August 01, 2011 -- New York based production company, My Own Worst Enemy, signed a deal on Friday with Victory Angel Films for their third collaboration of a dark thriller titled "Something In The Water", a film that lends itself to the iconic horror/surf films of the 60's.
Producer/Director Brian Skiba signed on to direct "Something In The Water" with Michael Z. Gordon to produce and Laurie love and Dominic Ross as Executive producers. Gordon, producer of the highly acclaimed "Narc", penned the thriller script with Bonnie Orr. Casting is scheduled to begin in early August with production set to roll cameras in October 2011.
Michael Z. Gordon said, "This is by far the most unusual movie we will have ever made. Not only is it a Surf/Monster movie reminiscent of the 60's but we get to use my many songs from this era in the film."
Creating music from the era of The Beetles, Buddy Holly, and The Beach Boys, the producer Michael Z. Gordon has a wealth of talent and experience to produce another hit movie production. With number one hits on the music charts from the sixties such as "Outer Limits", still being played for young surfers curling through greenrooms around the world, and writing the theme song for the box office hit "Pulp Fiction" and songs for the television series "Everybody Loves Raymond" and more, "Something In The Water" is expected to roll classics through theme songs for this thriller production.
With Dominic Ross taking on the role of Macy in the film, director Brian Skiba has just finished directing "Sweetwater" for Victory Angel Films. Written by Kim Hughes, the production stars Dean Cain, Holly Lynch, John Savage and William Katt.
Michael Z. Gordon and Victory Angel Films have worked together before to produce "Dirty Little Trick" and "Crushed Velvet". If "Something In The Water" is anything reminiscent of "Jaws" cinema audiences should have another box office hit to keep them on the edge of seats!
