Syracuse, NY (PressExposure) April 24, 2009 -- U.S. based SpectraMedi, the leading provider of medical transcription service, is pleased to announce that it now provides transcription service to Prescott Outpatient Surgical Center.
Prescott Outpatient Surgical Center is located in Prescott, Arizona and has been in existence since 1986. It is a multi-specialty surgical center that provides specialized care in pain management, podiatry, general surgery, ophthalmology, and more.
SpectraMedi not only provides medical transcription service, but also allows providers to dictate using various devices. Doctors have the ability to dictate using phones, digital recorders, PCs, Smartphones, and PDAs. SpectraMedi understands that providers may be comfortable using a specific method to dictate, which is why it allows its clients to utilize various devices. Once the voice file is captured it can easily be sent to SpectraMedi to be transcribed, and in some cases the voice file can be sent automatically. SpectraMedi's clients sometimes use multiple dictation methods since these methods are not mutually exclusive. For example, the doctors at Prescott Outpatient Surgical Center are utilizing handheld digital recorders and a phone-in dictation system. Prescott's doctors can transfer voice files from their digital recorders using SpectraMedi's application known as EasyMove. The transfer process is simple and only takes the click of a button. Doctors who dictate using SpectraMedi's phone-in dictation system, EasyVoice, can dictate over a secure phone line. Once the dictation is completed and saved, it will automatically be sent to SpectraMedi so it can be transcribed.
"We value all of our clients and we are very happy to be working with Prescott Outpatient Surgical Center," stated Laura Dreher, the head of operations for SpectraMedi Medical Transcription Service. "The providers are using both our phone-in system and digital recorders, which is great since they can choose the option they prefer."
