Island Falls, Maine (PressExposure) March 15, 2009 -- From May 18, 2009 through Columbus Day, Sewall House will begin its 13th season as a small personalized yoga retreat in the heart of the north woods in the small New England Town of Island Falls, Maine (population 700). This summer especially people need a vacation that is reasonably priced and where they can feel healthy and have time to reflect. Historically the guests have come to Sewall House when going through changes, needing some time for themselves.
Here they enjoy delicious gourmet vegetarian meals, twice daily yoga by an expert level teacher with nearly a quarter of a century of experience and the embrace of AN HISTORIC HOME where Theodore Roosevelt healed but also forged a lifelong friendship with the owner William Sewall. Sewall was well known nature guide and great grandfather of the current owner Donna Davidge (Bonham), who purchased the home in 1997 to keep the legacy alive. Currently chef Swedish born Kent Bonham ( Davidge's husband) creates delicious meals and provides live music in the afternoon yoga sessions.
