Chichester, United Kingdom (PressExposure) January 04, 2010 -- Bariatric patients now have the chance to quiz expert Streamline Surgical Bariatric Surgeons in a live web chat.
The âFat Doctorâ team at Streamline Surgical have improved their popular web forum by scheduling a regular live web chat at their site http://www.streamline-surgical.com
Bariatric surgeon, Shaw Somers comments: We wanted to develop the web chats as a way for people to easily access us and our team of experts and ask general questions about weight loss surgery. We find that many people that are considering weight loss surgeryhave questions around what the differences are between a gastric bypass and gastric band. We hope that these web chats will allow us to offer explanations around these areas in a clear and informative way. We are also of course keen for past patients to join in the web chats as we love to hear how well everyone is doing!â
Fellow bariatric surgeon, Guy Slater, comments: âWe really enjoy interacting with our patients and we hope that these web chats will allow us to hear from a wide range of our past patients. Although we wonât be able to answer clinical questions we will be able to provide general comment and answer to questions which we hope people will find invaluable.â
The evening Streamline Surgical web chats are planned to occur on a monthly basis and will be led by bariatric surgeons with extensive expertise in surgical treatments for obesity. Anyone can register for the chat and they donât even need to be Streamline Surgicalâs own patients. Initial feedback from patients has been overwhelmingly positive.
Alan (51) from Surrey said: âItâs great to hear that Streamline Surgical will be starting a live web chat programme. I had a gastric bypass6 months ago and am so keen to get involved with the web chats and share my experiences with the Streamline Surgical team and other past and present patients.â
You can register for the live web chats on the Streamline Surgical website. Upcoming dates will be advertised shortly!
