Raleigh, NC (PressExposure) March 31, 2009 -- Women Embracing Creativity, an enlightening 8-week course designed to help women break through blocks and realize their creative dreams, will begin its summer session on June 2nd at Summerglen Music in Raleigh, North Carolina.
"Although a number of women are interested in leading more creative lives, many find themselves succumbing to creative blocks like second-guessing their ideas or shorting out their projects with perfectionism," explains Thompson. "Our course gives participants a chance to develop healthy creative habits and share their progress with a kind and supportive group of women." She adds, "The thing I enjoy most about the course is the fun we have each week. We push through some major creative blocks, but we're laughing all the way!"
In the course, participants will discover how to dispel creative blocks like perfectionism and fear of criticism, explore ways to incorporate creativity into everyday life, and learn to nurture their ideas into fruition. The course will provide a supportive environment for women interested in any artistic medium (visual, literary, music, dance, etc.), and at any level of experience. Classes will meet at Summerglen Music in Raleigh every Tuesday evening from 7-8:30pm, from June 2 to July 28, and are designed for women ages 18 and older. Cost for the 8-week course is $160 and includes workbook, snacks, and 8 weeks of creative activities.
