Hyderabad, India (PressExposure) February 13, 2012 -- Sunshine Preschools Group at Hyderabad today announced a strategic partnership with award winning UK based nursery group, The Old Station Nursery. The Old Station Nursery will step in as an investor and adviser to the Sunshine Preschool Group which is an emerging major player in preschool and day care segment in India.
Sarah Steel, Managing Director of The Old Station Nursery traveled to India in October last year and met with several Preschool and Daycare providers in Bangalore and Hyderabad. After exploring various options Sarah was particularly impressed with the Sunshine group and its preschool and daycare centers at Hyderabad. The Old Station Nursery Group will now be working with the operations team to share best practice in Early Years education from the UK, in developing the learning environments, enhancing the curriculum and focusing on improving support mechanisms for parents.
Towards the above objective, Sarah will be launching an innovative 12 week Parent Engagement Program (PEP) during the Hyderabad Children's Day Out (HCDO) mega event being organized by Sunshine on 4th March 2012 at Sri Satya Sai Auditorium in Srinagar Colony of Hyderabad. The PEP will run throughout the year and will be open to any parent across the country. Parents can connect with Sarah and send their input and queries through the Sunshine Preschool Facebook page.
Speaking yesterday, Sarah said, 'It is a really great opportunity to be working with the Sunshine group and I think the Indian market holds many exciting challenges as it develops and grows. Indian parents are no different from British parents in that they want the very best opportunities for their child to grow and develop. I hope I can work with Sunshine to make this happen as the group grows into a national brand'. Adding to the above, Mr Amit Prasad, Vice Chairman and MD of Sunshine Preschools said, "Sunshine has strategic school partnerships today that give it presence in 100+ locations. As we embark on an aggressive plan to reach out to 500 locations in next 3 years, such partnerships will help us differentiate in a cluttered market and offer value added services to parents hitherto unheard of in the Indian market".
