New York, NY (PressExposure) September 03, 2014 -- Professional Grammy Member and accredited singer/songwriter Devlin Miles has joined forces with Berkley Music graduate Rick Mauran on drums and UMASS Amherst Post-graduate Ben Falkoff on lead guitar to create a new musical alliance Sweet Little Bloodhound. You will hear strong influences of classic rock mixed with a little Southern flavah and a hint of funk. Devlin Miles' first release "Autumn's Fires" in 2010 received great reviews and consistently placed in on-line Top 40 charts, winning Subway Fresh Regional Artist competition. Miles states, that "after my first release I really honed in on the songwriting even more- I recognized what connected with people and I really worked at making my inspirations more universal and applicable in many different scenarios." On this album you can expect to hear soaring melody lines that vocally push the envelope for Miles and great signature licks by Ben Falkoff and unmistakable rhythm patterns by Rick Mauran. Together they have created a sound that could be called Soulful Rock.
Their first single "Don't Take This Personal" kicks off the album and immediately gets you in the mood for fun. All women and lovers of superheroes will love the second tune on the album- "Superhero Female" that encourages women to, "shatter all glass ceilings". Miles voice is unmistakable as the band covers "Gold Dust Woman" by Fleetwood Mac with a James Bond feel and "Sweet Dreams" by the Eurhythmics with a surprisingly relaxed reggae feel. Early previews of the album self titled - Sweet Little Bloodhound have been quite favorable. This unsigned indie band based in the Northeast is one in thousands of releases that will be released October 7th, but Sweet Little Bloodhound is THE one in a thousand that you need to hear.
