Manipal, India (PressExposure) July 16, 2010 -- T. A. Pai Management Institute [TAPMI], one of the leading B schools in India inducted an additional batch of 60 students approved by AICTE for the year 2010-12 in the campus yesterday.

Speaking at the Induction, Dr. Saji Gopinath, the Director of the institute inspired the students by introducing them to the history of TAPMI and the educational revolution started by Dr. T. M. A. Pai and carried forward by Dr. T.A. Pai in Manipal. He spoke on how Dr. T. M. A. Pai brought about a revolution in the place that was once a jungle that proves that nothing is impossible. ”

“It may be a matter of disbelief to know that the seeds of green revolution were sown in Manipal by Dr. T. M. A. Pai. TAPMI stands out in every way and we are second to none with our world class infrastructure, state-of-art learning and expert faculty of whom more than 70% hold PhD. A transformation takes place here, alchemy.” He also said that each and every one of the students should be like the visionaries, and learn to dream like them. “Having acquired a new world class campus, TAPMI is on an expansion mode” he added.

“We went to the top B Schools in the country and finally chose TAPMI. We consider ourselves to be really fortunate to have our children studying in an institute that has a history of more than 25 years.” says a parent of Ms Shukrana Posh who hails from Kolkata.

“The additional 60 seats approved have actually been favourable to students like me, who got a chance to enter TAPMI.” says Swathi Naidu, a student who worked in Infosys and has opted for TAPMI for her higher education.

Speaking about the development, Prof. Chowdari Prasad Chairman of Branding & Promotion at TAPMI who teaches Banking and Financial Services said “In addition to the existing batch of 120 students, the AICTE has approved increasing the number of seats to 180 this year and permitted admitting of 9 NRI students. The approval has added to the credibility of the institute and is another feather in the cap of accomplishments of TAPMI”.
