London, United Kingdom (PressExposure) October 01, 2012 -- When the Rogue Run Charity drive was created in 2012, it was only between friends and families who decided to raise money for The Jennifer Trust. For everyone that participated, Rogue Run proved that some fuel and some genuine people can easily raise money for a good cause. So in 2013, the Rogue Run event is open to the public to join in the fun and adventure.
Last year over £1000 was raised with only a few people on board travelling over 6 countries (France, Monaco, Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium), in just over 5 days. After 2,700 miles had been covered, the group had discovered some amazing scenery, places they would like to return to, and had some great laughs at the same time.
The charity that Rogue Run raised money for in 2012 (which is also the 2013 charity), is called The Jennifer Trust. It is a national UK charity that provides a range of information and support to families and health professionals as well as promoting and supporting research. As with most charities, they employ a small number of staff and rely on a huge network of volunteers to assist with their support and fundraising. They are governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees.
The 2013 route is scheduled to start on Wednesday 22 May when the ferry will arrive at the French city Calais, to finish on the Monday 27 May in Belgium's capital, Bruges. In between we are expected to cover France, Germany, Luxembourg and Amsterdam.
