TRichView Implements DocX Export and Smooth Image Resizing

Moscow, Rossiya (PressExposure) May 26, 2013 -- New versions of rich text editing components (TRichView 14.5, RichViewActions 4.2, ScaleRichView 5.4) are now available.

Brief info

TRichView is a set of Delphi components for editing formatted documents with tables, images and hypertext links.

RichViewActions is a set of actions and components for building a text processor UI, a free addon to TRichView. RichViewActions include ready-to-use dialogs for all main text processing operations.

ScaleRichView is a TRichView addon for WYSIWYG editing.

SRVControls is a set of components for insertion in a ScaleRichView editor.

Many standard Delphi controls can be inserted as well, but SRVControls provide a smooth scaling and printing together with a document.

What's new

Embarcadero RAD Studio XE4 is supported. The components can be used to create 32-bit and 64-bit applications in Delphi and C++Builder using VCL framework.

Documents can be exported to DocX files (Office Open XML Format, a format of Microsoft Word 2007 and newer). No additional external libraries are required for DocX export. All document possible formatting is retained or converted to the most similar formatting available in DocX documents.

A command for file export (in RichViewActions), in addition to other formats (such as RTF, HTML, text and formats provided by Microsoft Office converters), can export to DocX files.

The editor displays resized images better, because of the new algorithm performing a high-quality resizing. This feature is customizable: programmers can specify formats of graphics which can be resized.

An additional layer of abstraction is added to processing of graphic classes. In this version, programmers may choose which graphic classes will be used to handle specific graphic formats.

In addition to the previous translations, the user interface of RichViewActions is translated to Armenian. The current version of RichViewActions is translated to about 30 languages.
