Toronto, Canada (PressExposure) March 10, 2010 -- TakingITGlobal, a multilingual online social network for engaged youth, has appointed François-Philippe Champagne to its Board of Directors.
The expansion of TakingITGlobal's Board of Directors ensures the organization will continue to benefit from a diverse set of experiences and opinions.

François-Philippe is Strategic Development Director for AMEC, an international consultancy and supplier of engineering and project management services in the natural resources, nuclear, clean energy, water and environmental sectors. Based primarily in the London headquarters of AMEC, he provides advice and support to the Chief Executive Officer on the formulation of AMEC's corporate strategy and direction, as well as strategic evaluation of investment and acquisition opportunities.
François-Philippe, born in Quebec, Canada, held a former position in ABB in Switzerland, where most recently he was group vice president and senior counsel.
François-Philippe earned a Bachelor of Law degree at Montreal University followed by Master of Law degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, USA.
"François' knowledge and expertise of international and legal matters will be a considerable asset to our organization's ability to form strategic partnerships and achieve long-term goals," said Jennifer Corriero, Co-founder and Executive Director of TakingITGlobal.

François-Philippe is the past president of the Canadian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and is involved in various think tanks, including the Banff Forum in Canada. He is also a non-executive Vice-Chairman of Bionest Technologies, a leading provider of waste water treatment technologies.
