St. Pete Beach, FL (PressExposure) May 04, 2011 -- Digital Eel, Inc., a St. Pete Beach web design, web hosting, and web marketing company, is proud to announce its inclusion in a three-month feature in USA Today as part of the "2011 USA Today Small Business Challenge."
Selected among hundreds of applicants nationwide, Digital Eel is one of three businesses featured in this bi-weekly series, which debuts today, and will continue every other Monday from April 11 through June 20.
The popular series, which began last year, highlights three small businesses anticipating growth in 2011 despite a weakened economy. The articles will chart each business's progress toward projected goals, challenges they encounter, and strategies for growth.
The series can be found in print and online at the USA Today website, and features additional articles and video.
As part of the challenge, each company has been paired with an expert-mentor in its respective field. Digital Eel was paired with Jeff Taylor, founder of the popular job-search site, Monster.com.
The two other businesses featured include a bread company in Atlanta, Georgia and a wine packaging company in Dalles, Oregon. The other mentors include restaurateur and TV host, Paula Deen and business manager Barry Weiner, as well as Jim Koch, founder of Boston Beer.
"We are absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition, says Digital Eel co-founders Steve Schwalb and V Brunson. "We look forward to hearing Jeff Taylor's input, and being able to provide a new level of expertise to our clients." They add, "Nothing would give us greater satisfaction than to grow as a company and to help our clients do the same."
