Bournemouth, United Kingdom (PressExposure) July 05, 2011 -- This years Business Come Dancing with Wessex Cancer Trust competition took place on Thursday 30th June at the Hotel Piccadilly in Bournemouth. The competition saw local business people taking to the dance floor to prove that they are as dynamic a dancer as they are in the workplace. Eight Dorset business men and women completed rigorous training with their professional dance partners, to perform their chosen dance in front of a live audience in a bid to win the 2011 trophy and raise funds for local charity, Wessex Cancer Trust.
One of the contestants that took part is Debbie Tarrier of the Vehicles Strategies Club. Based, in Bournemouth, Dorset, VS Club helps businesses save up to 50% on their motoring costs and is now a successful and lucrative franchise opportunity too. Debbie explained her decision to take part in the competition: I got involved with my VS Club hat on and wasnt sure what to expect, but really liked the idea of having fun all for a great cause. I had no idea how much training I was in for! I also never got to choose the dance - I was given the Argentine Tango, as I wasnt there the night we were due to meet our partners and choose our dances! However, it is in aid of the most fantastic charity and I do love the idea of strutting my stuff on the dance floor, which may all I manage. I was looking forward to it and dreading it all in one, so I just tried and enjoy it and hoped not to fall over!
