Teenage Mutants in the Society

Drive Knoxville, TN (PressExposure) March 04, 2009 -- “Man is by nature a social animal” -John Locke

Human nature provokes the indulgence to trends, which most often than not, does not give due scrutiny before accepting social practices. And since man is the curious animal that he is, and as long as his budget allows the rush to the mode of society’s transitions, then he allows temptations presented by his environment amidst his inherent wisdom.

For far too long, drugs have formed the basis of acceptance for peer groups, the society of elites and even to those who cannot afford much. Why is it that if you’re not a user, you do not belong to the circle of civilization that drugs form? Take a look at a teenage drug rehab and find almost half of a community there for treatment. This has been a problem to normal teenage development as when individuals seem to have the conditions of an outcast of this circle. Moreover, it is a major source of problem to parents who blame common trends in the immoral development of their children.

Now you may ask why is it that teenagers tend to become the common victims of drug use and abuse. That is why most institutions concerned, especially those in the developing countries, have teenage drug rehab. It is teenagers who are often victimized by curiosity and are unaware of the negative effects of drugs to their bodies. Why? Especially those of the third world countries, education is inadequate and stagnant indeed.

Teenagers lack confidence in themselves. To be able to mask this problem or veer away from it, they use what the elder groups use as a basis of brotherhood. And most often, it is drugs that adults hold in their hands. The enjoyment these children see provokes them to be part of these so-called brotherhood and be not left behind. Teenagers are subject to unwise decisions. Take for example, a teenager who has been uneducated and is disconnected from family, will have nothing and no one to run to if problems arise. The social animal then turns to drugs because he notices the immediate positive effects.

In a teenage drug rehab, these teens undergo stages of education and detoxification to realize adverse effects they unconsciously receive from using drugs. So before your child ruins a future planned ahead of him, take caution and start the home learning process now.
