Kolkata, West Bengal India (PressExposure) October 08, 2014 -- It's not everyday does one come across a multinational company actually living up to its promises. Teknowledge Software, a Kolkata-based mobile apps company, showed exactly how it's done - by continuing with its regular operations during this festive season. The CEO of the agency had promised that there would be no holidays at Teks, and the company indeed lived up to that claim.
In a press meet conducted on Monday, a senior app development expert informed us that the overall working hours had been divided into shifts, on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of October. Leaves had been granted to a limited number of employees - and that too only when valid reasons were provided. Since the developers and designers could choose their convenient shifts on these three days, there was plenty of leisure-time in any case!
Mr. Hussain Fakhruddin, the head of Teknowledge Software, had promised that anyone who wanted to get free quotes on mobile apps during the festive period would be contacted within 24 hours. On this front too, the Android/iPhone app development firm did a stellar job. A reliable source from the company said that as many as 18 such requests had come in over the three days, and each of them had been sent detailed, customized app quotes. In fact, the app development process has also already started for 6 of these clients.
Since not every individual mobile app developer and UI/UX designer was at office round-the-clock during the days of festival, Teknowledge ramped up its online support services. A four-member team had been formed, for manning the Live Chat section of the company website. Anyone who wished to contact Teks over the holiday weekend could do so with ease. As it turned out, plenty of app-enthusiasts and existing/potential clients did get in touch with the company during this time.
It was, however, not an 'all-work-and-no-play' scenario at the mobile app development agency. Several corporate games and fun competitions were arranged at the office, to keep the employees motivated and in good spirits. Right from typing tests and hackathons, to mock coding and application development assignments for coders - the program itinerary at Teknowledge had it all. On the 4th, the company also organized for an all-expenses-paid pandal tour across the city at night. The spirit of festivities was present at Teks too, but not at the cost of service quality, sincerity or availability.
Story Time, the online bookstore for kids owned and managed by Teknowledge Software, performed exceptionally well over the holiday period. Classic children's books like 'The Jungle Book' and 'Peter Pan' literally flew off the shelves - as orders came in (via eBay) from all over India. The head of the Story Time division was happy to report that the sales figures for the first week of October was more than that of the previous three weeks combined. The number of downloads of the Story Time mobile app for kids witnessed a spurt too.
According to Mr. Fakhruddin, working in collaboration with a well-established Australian chapter - Teks Mobile Australia - helped Teknowledge maintain high professional efficiency standards during the festive season. Since the work-schedule at the India office was divided into shifts, Android and iPhone app developers from Australia took on additional responsibilities - to avoid delays in projects. There were quite a few instances when people who wanted to create new mobile apps were handled by the Australian executives of Teks.
For nearly a decade now, Teknowledge Software has been building a name for itself as one of the most dependable global corporate houses. With such high standards of service during what is generally considered to be a 'vacation period', that belief has definitely been reinforced.
