The booking period for one of West End's longest running musical, the Wicked, has been extended till 26th April 2014. The piece made its London debut on 27th September 2006 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre London following previews from 7th September 2006 onwards. The piece has entertained more that 5 million theatre-goers since then while running for sell-off performances at the venue.
The stage adaptation of this show comes from the internationally bestselling novel by Gregory Maguire, has book by Winnie Holzman and lyrics have been penned down by Stephen Schwartz. The show has been directed by Joe Mantello, scenic designs by Eugene Lee and costumes have been designed by Susan Hilferty. The lightings of the musical has been done by Kenneth Posner, sounds have been given by Tony Meola, has William david Brohn on the orchestra and the musical staging being done by Wayne Cilento.
The ensemble cast of the show is leaded by Louise Dearman who plays Elphaba, Gina Beck portrays Glinda, Fivero has been done by Ben Freeman. The Wizzard is played by Bartlett, the role of Nessarose is portrayed by Katie Rowley Jones, Christopher Howell makes appearances as Doctor Dillamond, Boq is played by Sam Lupton while Louise Plowright features as Madame Morrible.
