Beaumont, TX (PressExposure) February 04, 2011 -- The Byrd Law Firm recently began taking on new clients in Oklahoma City. This comes after realizing an overwhelming need for Accutane attorney services in the region.
Accutane is a drug available only by prescription that was meant to treat severe acne. And it seemed to do its job well. However in 2009, manufacturer Hoffman-LaRoche pulled the drug off the market. The reason proved devastating.
"The use of Accutane has been linked to a number of diseases including the following: Crohn's Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Ulcerative Colitis," Accutane lawyer Jason Byrd explains on his website. Other negative side effects include induced depression, suicide, and birth defects.
"Despite this recall, for the countless victims who experienced the devastating side effects the drug could bring, it was already too late." Byrd continues, "Although the pain and suffering these diseases cause may never go away, many victims can seek justice through Accutane lawsuits."
Having said that, in February 2010, one New Jersey victim hired an Accutane lawyer and won big against Hoffman-LaRoche, receiving $25.16 million dollars. While the Byrd Law Firm did not represent this victim, they want to inform residents of Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas that they could be entitled to compensation if they are victims of health problems as a result of past or present Accutane use.
