Colts Neck, New Jersey (PressExposure) November 11, 2010 -- The Club was founded in 1995 by Adolfo Cambiaso with the unvaluable help of his friend Bartolome Castagnola. Since the tournament started, the most important players played on it, such as the Heguys, Matias Magrini, David Stirling, Mariano Aguerre, Jaime Garcia Huidobro, Chino Fraysinett among others. The La Dolfina Polo Team was founded by Adolfo Cambiaso and Bartolomé Castagnola in 1997 and is one of the more successful polo teams in Argentina of the present. The other team members since 2005 are Lucas Monteverde and Mariano Aguerre.
The team has won the prestigous Argentine Open four times: 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2007. Other won tournaments include the Hurlingham Open and the Jockey Club Open. After the Argentine Open 2007, the handicap of Lucas Monteverde was raised to 10, so La Dolfina is the only polo team with a perfect handicap of 40 at the moment.
