Announcements

The sales of the workbook have been quite positive and we have recently broken ground on a second book.

We have opened "I-TO-WE" University ("I-TO-WE-U"). Here, you can enroll in one or all seven exciting e-courses. The courses are designed in sequence to assist you in gaining new awareness, learning new skills, and reinforcing the skills through ongoing exercises. The courses are excerpts from my book and modeled after my workshops. The first two are available now and the rest will be online soon. Enroll today and begin your journey to receive your "I-TO-WE" degree.

Want to Know a Secret?

Another Resolution... Many people, including myself, end each year examining their lives and pledging to themselves and others to establish healthier patterns such as exercising, eating healthier, losing weight, spending more time with family, working harder to earn more money, or reading to become more self-aware.

In addition, we might make commitments to stop negative habits and behaviors such as smoking, spending too much money, and forgetting to do the everyday little things that help our partner feel safe, loved, and cared for. We also might make a conscious choice to change something within ourselves to help our relationship become more successful.

How many times have you started a new year enthusiastically, motivated to fulfill the commitments you made to yourself and others? How many of those resolutions are unfulfilled promises from the year before, or the year before that? Would you like to be able to follow through this year, and move on to different resolutions next year?

Face your Fear Most of us are excited to launch into the new year ready and willing to make positive changes in our lives, yet after the first 30 days, we find ourselves not following through. We resist change even when we know that change is exactly what we need to make our lives better. Why? I suspect it is because we are afraid. We may be fearful of change, fearful of failing or succeeding, fearful of being rejected, fearful of being unworthy, or perhaps fearful of trying.

Fear is a powerful force that can either motivate us to excel or lead us to a state of stagnation. Fear will inhibit us from establishing trust -- in others and ourselves. Most importantly, fear will block us from being able to visualize the future from a positive perspective.

Change your Perspective The question is, how can we increase our probability of success for the resolutions we make for 2007 and not find ourselves making the same ones on Jan 1, 2008? In mid- December my dear friend, Fred, told me about a DVD called "The Secret". It is a feature-length production from a group out of Australia (www.thesecret.tv) that examines the Law of Attraction throughout the ages. I watched it several times with my girlfriend and its message resonated powerfully with us. The message is important and timely at the dawn of this new year.

The message of "The Secret" is that we get exactly what we focus on. The content of our thoughts determines the way we feel, providing the energy that becomes reality in our lives. For example, if our mind is focused on thoughts of negativity and what we lack, we find ourselves struggling in negativity and wanting more. If our mind is focused on optimism and opportunity, we find ourselves enjoying the benefits of optimism and accomplishing and having more.

If you have a goal or a dream you hope to accomplish, believe you will get there. Think, feel, and act as if you are already there.

Act on It As I mention in Chapter 3 of my book, if we want anything to change in our lives, it begins with our mind. Our thoughts influence our feelings and our feelings influence our actions. The way we feel and our reactions to those feelings is the source of the energy we send out into the world. The energy we send out attracts the same type of energy -- this is the Law of Attraction.

The universe responds to speed. Whatever it is you desire for 2007, act on it now. Believe and act as if it is already yours. You can consciously choose to think positive thoughts, visualize positive events happening in your life, and create a belief system that supports that vision. Your vision of the future is the source of energy that attracts what you want in your life.

So now you know the secret -- think positively about the present and visualize a future full of accomplishment and fulfillment. "If you think it, you will feel it, if you feel it, you will visualize it, if you visualize it, you will have it."

I hope you enjoyed this first edition. If you know of others whom might benefit from this newsletter, pass the information along or sign them up to receive it.

"I-TO-WE" Creed

Nothing destroys the
safety, friendship, trust, respect,
admiration, joy, passion, and love
in a relationship more than having your
partner tell you he or she will do something,
make a commitment to you and the relationship, and then not follow through.

You must be your authentic adult self,
open your heart, and give of yourself
unselfishly and unconditionally.

You must be consciously aware
to give each other gifts every day,
be inspired to make each other smile,
and feel safe, loved, and cared for.
