The National Culinary Report Explores Preeminent Culinary Institutions

Boca Raton, FL (PressExposure) May 06, 2009 -- Americans have always had a love affair with food and with a record number of us finding ourselves in the unemployment lines, some are considering exploring these passions and an exciting new career in the Culinary Arts. The National Culinary Report will be highlighting the Crème de le Crème of Culinary Arts Institutions for their interstitial series for Public Television.

Most schools have degree options, both Associate and Bachelors, and areas of specialized study like Baking and Pastry Art, Culinary Arts, Culinary Nutrition, Food Marketing, Food Services Entrepreneurship and more. Choosing the right school with financial considerations, and the need for job placement after school, is a hard decision. For example, almost 90 percent of Johnson and Wales University students receive some kind of financial assistance and they plan to award $96 million in financial aid in the 2008-2009 academic year. There are several different types of financial aid, including scholarships, loans grant and work study thru the Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

“We are looking to place together great schools with great opportunities, both to attend the best school and to find a place in the industry after graduation. Documentary stories of this kind are extremely helpful in answering questions and bringing to light opportunities that people may not know are available,” said the senior producer.

The National Culinary Report will provide these answers and more within the 2009 lineup, empowering Americans of all ages thru the power of education, at one of the most critical times in our country’s history.
