Cebu City, Philippines (PressExposure) August 24, 2009 -- The Nokia Nseries are some of the most popular models of cellular phones for sale available today. It was considered as one of the first mobile phones that supported several digital multimedia services such as music playback, video capture, photography, mobile gaming and Internet services. On top of it all, all Nseries devices support at least one high-speed wireless technology, such as 3G, or Wireless LAN. One of its most popular Nseries cellular phones for sale is the Nokia N95 having an over of 7 million units sold across the world. Nokia doesn't stop there. The Nseries models have kept on innovating their ideas and technologies. Today, Nokia have announced two new Nseries cellular phones for sale for use in 2009. The Nokia N86 8MP and the new N97.
Nokia N86 8MP Though slightly similar to its predecessor, which is the Nokia N85, its feature are much different. Other than supporting the usual features associated with the Nseries, one of its unique feature as well as its selling point is its photography features.
The N86 8MP (Megapixel) is Nokia's first camera phone to have an 8 megapixel sensor, and features both multiple aperture settings and a mechanical shutter (uncommon features by the standards of camera phones), and a Carl Zeiss lens with a wide angle of view (28mm equivalent). It also has auto focus and a dual LED flash. Video capture resolution is 640 x 480 pixels (VGA) at 30 frames per second.
Other than its camera, The N86 8MP also has a toughened glass front cover and metal detailing. It is similar in specification to the Nokia N85, with a 2.6-inch OLED display and the "dual-slider" form factor. It also has the same kickback stand so you can use the N86 8MP as a small standalone screen, but in this case, you can configure the opening of the stand to launch applications such as the video player. It has already been released for a price of about S$700 (EUR 350) in Singapore and Malaysia.
Nokia N97 Unlike the N86 8MP which closely resembles its predecessor, the Nokia N97 is far from what the N96 looked like. The Nokia N97 is a touch screen combined phone and "mobile computer" in the Nseries of smartphones by Nokia, with a fold-out QWERTY keyboard. The Nokia N97 was released in US flagship stores on 9 June 2009 and has a worldwide release date of "June". It has already been released in some Asian countries such as Hong Kong and Taiwan and in all parts of the Middle East.
Announced on 2 December 2008, the N97 is Nokia's second touchscreen phone (after the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic that is based on the Nokia S60 platform. Informal tests have shown that the battery can last nearly two days despite regular use of the phone's various features.
