The Ohio Academy a Paul Mitchell Partner School Takes an Active Role in Assistance of Job Placement

Cleveland, Ohio (PressExposure) January 15, 2010 -- There are many wonderful career opportunities available within the beauty industry. In addition to hair design and skin care, this industry also offers opportunities in areas such as makeup, aromatherapy, nail artistry, product educators, platform artists and salon management.

According to statistics, the average reported income for full-time professionals is $26,000, and as stated before, experienced stylists can earn as much as $40,000-plus per year. Also, statistics show that there are over 6 openings available for every new license! In fact over 239,000 salon positions went unfilled last year.

Although The Ohio Academy does not guarantee employment upon graduation, The Ohio Academy takes an active role in the assistance of job placement. Career Fairs are held bi-annually at The Ohio Academy. Salon opportunities are posted on the information board in the school’s break room. Students are encouraged to view in the Admissions Office a Photo-like book which consists of a variety of marketing material from varied salons. Students are also required to complete a resume and may, at any time, schedule an appointment with the Admissions Leader for resume assistance.

The Ohio Academy coordinates placement programs with local and national salons and spas through sending out surveys, inviting salon and spa owners and guest artists to participate in Professional Development classes held at The Ohio Academy.

More information about classes, enrollment and the course catalog can be found at The Ohio Academy.
