Tampa, FL (PressExposure) August 03, 2009 -- Hernando County eagerly awaits the grand opening of The Shoppes at Avalon, a premiere Publix-anchored shopping center scheduled to open in late 2009. Stiles Realty has shifted their marketing focus this year to take more of a grass roots approach by leasing to local businesses and creating hundreds of jobs for the residents of Spring Hill.
The Shoppes at Avalon have already signed three local businesses including a wine and spirits retail store, a chinese restaurant and a salon. The Shoppes' location at the high-traffic intersection of the Suncoast Parkway and County Line Road coupled with the anticipated foot traffic through the 45,000-square-foot Publix has created an optimal setting for these small businesses to thrive.
The promising location is exactly what Liquor Store Owner Bharat Ghandi needed to open his third business. "It has been such a pleasure working with Stiles Realty throughout this process," said Ghandi. "They understood our needs as a small business even though they're so often dealing with national franchises or big businesses."
"We love to have local businesses thriving within our shopping destinations," said leasing agent Heather Lannon. "We don't want to be seen as a big faceless corporate entity but as part of the community."
Stiles Realty, which also handles the Suntrust building in downtown Tampa, currently has an additional 4,150 square feet of space under negotiation with local operators and has high hopes for some nationally-recognized tenants as well. Eight outparcels are currently available for sale or lease along with 14,150 square feet of inline retail space for lease. The available spaces are built for retailers, including service businesses, restaurants and office/medical uses. A Stiles/Publix joint venture partnership purchased the 30-acre site in the summer of 2007.
