Phoenix, Arizona (PressExposure) February 14, 2011 -- Early registration has ended for the 2011 International Association of Eating Disorder Professional's (iaedp's) Annual Symposium, but that doesn't mean it's closed! Eating disorder professionals are encouraged to sign-up for the Symposium between February 12 and February 19 to be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a gorgeous coffee-table book by acclaimed artist and 2011 iaedp Symposium guest, Fritz Liedtke.
Two names will be randomly selected from two separate pools - one name from those who registered early and one name from those who register between February 12-19 - to win Fritz's book about photography and the human form. All participants of the Symposium will have the opportunity to meet Fritz on Saturday, March 5 at the Red Carpet premiere of "America the Beautiful: Health for Sale," where he will also be showing his photography exhibit, "Skeleton in the Closet."
A recovering anorexic himself, Fritz is a Portland-based artist specializing in photography and portraiture. Many of his pieces focus on themes such as adolescence, eating disorders, surrealism, tourists, street photography, and mixed media. Fritz's latest exhibit, "Skeleton in the Closet," takes a look at the secrets of anorexia and bulimia through a series of intimate portraits. The clearest theme of the series also is the simplest, he says, the desire to be known and loved for who we are. "Many of the women and men in this series have looked this way before; some still do. They have, as it were, a skeleton in the closet," he said.
