Fairfax, VA (PressExposure) March 13, 2014 -- Fear the Banana! Lunch Box Studios has launched Banana Phobia on the Google Play Store. The game pits users against a troop of banana-chucking monkeys in a jungle. With only eight wooden crates at their disposal, users can only jump to knock monkeys into the river while dodging constant barrages of score-resetting bananas. Imploring focus, reaction, and quick-fingers from its users, Banana Phobia brings a new and exciting spin to the mobile action/arcade genre. To promote the launch, Lunch Box Studios is holding a contest giveaway for a $10 gift card to the Google Play Store. As to why they would hold a giveaway so soon after the launch, Jonny Asmar, one third of Lunch Box Studios responds, "We've developed, brainstormed, tested, rinsed and repeated non-stop to build an extremely challenging, but still fun high-score game. Something so addicting, that users wouldn't be able to put it down. We know that all we have to do is get it into people's hands."
Reviews of Banana Phobia claim, "[it's] almost like a reawakened Donkey-Kong/classic Mario Bros", "Challenging, well made. Play it! Its addicting!", and "Def worth downloading". The game takes place on a small bridge spanning a jungle waterfall, where a top-heavy hero has been cornered by three banana-chucking monkeys with an endless supply of ammo. Users have to dodge bananas and jump to try and knock the monkeys off of their floating boxes into the waterfall below. Monkeys respawn indefinitely and the user gets a point for each one. The users high score builds up until they're hit by a banana. The contest, naturally, is to share high scores. The deadline for submissions is set to April 1, 2014. Banana Phobia is free on the Google Play Store worldwide and, with a content rating of Everyone and compatibility with Gingerbread 2.3 and up, is available to just about anyone with an Android device and internet access. Lunch Box Studios is also actively working on iOS, Amazon, and Windows versions and has a slew of new features in the pipeline, including new abilities, new enemies, and character customization.

Lunch Box Studios is new to the mobile game market - only established in 2014 - but Banana Phobia looks to be a solid first title.
