Burnsville, Minnesota (PressExposure) July 22, 2009 -- The thumbprint character, Thumbuddy, tells kids that just like their thumb stands out from their fingers - they were meant to stand out from the crowd and embrace being one-of-a-kind, just like their thumbprint.
This foundational concept of ThumbPeople, Inc. has influenced the creation of Thumbuddy Club preschool curriculum. Effective in building self confidence within kids, Thumbuddy Club encourages kids to be the one-of-a-kind original they were created to be and value others for their unique qualities as well.
Designed and field tested by experts in the preschool arena, Thumbuddy Club uses scripted dialog between the facilitator and children, story time, crafts, music, activities and take-home bags to instill self worth building concepts. Thumbuddy Club is available in both Christian and secular versions and is structured for before and after school programs, preschools, children's library programs, Vacation Bible School, daycares and homeschooling. The seven Thumbuddy Club lessons can be facilitated consecutively or as stand alone lessons.
Built on the premise that positive words greatly influence individuals, ThumbPeople, Inc. has also created Thumbuddy children's books and music CD's containing affirming words to encourage individuals to see themselves in a positive light and inspire them to live outstanding lives.
