Chicago, IL (PressExposure) May 12, 2011 -- Sertifi, a leading electronic signature service, has created a free tool that can be used to electronically sign documents via your PC or tablet, eliminating the need for printing, signing and faxing.
Sertifi Signer was introduced May 9 and is available for anyone to use, says John Stojka, Sertifi's co-founder.
Using the esignature tool is simple:
Upload any pdf document that you need to sign.
Sign the document with your mouse or mobile device such as an iPhone or iPad by using your finger or a stylus. Another option is to upload a scanned signature. Sertifi Signer also enables users to add text to a document. You can easily insert information such as a title, date or company name, if necessary.
Once the document is signed, it can be saved to your hard drive, printed, or shared with others via email.
"This is a useful tool for CFOs CEOs, vice presidents and anyone who is required to sign a great deal of documents, particularly while traveling," Stojka says.
Instead of emailing a document to someone, having them print it out, sign and fax it back, Sertifi Signer makes the process of capturing electronic signatures fast, easy and paperless.
The application originally was developed just for Stojka.
"I was getting a lot of documents that I needed to sign, so the developers here built it for me," he says. "I love it. We use it all the time, and I think anyone who has to sign documents while on the road will appreciate this app."
Sertifi Signer is great for capturing esignatures on sales contracts, W-9 forms and lease agreements, to name a few examples. And it's always free for users to sign documents that have been sent to them.
