"We're positioning ourselves to serve the needs of the millions of people worldwide who suffer from tinnitus. In the United States alone the American Tinnitus Association estimates that 50 million people experience the symptoms of tinnitus. We see a great need to help with the education of people troubled bthe condition, by providing the latest information on the various symptoms, causes and treatments available," said Neil Hendry, Editor of Tinnitus Magazine.
Rather than focussing solely on the medical research aspects of tinnitus, the magazine aims to be accessible to all sectors of the public, who either have tinnitus symptoms or who may have friends or relatives that do. In addition, Tinnitus Magazine aims to incorporate articles based on the real life stories of people that suffer from the condition or whose lives have been impacted by tinnitus.
"With Tinnitus Magazine, we want to create a very readable and accessible online resource, which deals with the many aspects of the condition. We see the opportunity of providing education to the public in a way that is both engaging as well as informative. Whilst the serious nature of the condition cannot be ignored, providing information in a way that is both enlightening and uplifting will only help in gaining a wider readership," said Neil Hendry.
The tinnitus condition was first written about in Egyptian times and whilst much is now known about the condition, there is still a great need for further research and education of the public.
"For every new person that develops tinnitus symptoms, it's a new beginning for them in terms of understanding the issues involved, learning how to relieve their symptoms and find a cure. With so many products and methods availble on the market, we aim to assist people in the process of finding the solutions which suit them best," added Neil Hendry.
