Martinez, GA (PressExposure) June 25, 2012 -- Tomberlin Automotive Group, manufacturer of electric low speed street-legal and off-road vehicles, announced the debut of their new AC-Drive E-Merge E2 XRLE model. The E-Merge E2 XRLE offers the same safety, comfort and convenience features as the popular LE model, with the new Xtended Range (XR) performance package.
Components of the XR performance package include the AC-Drive System, an improved axle design and eight 6-Volt batteries. The AC-Drive System with a Curtis controller offers major performance, operational and system advancements over DC, to include better hill-climbing, greater reliability, more efficiency and a maintenance-free brushless motor. An improved axle design and compatible gear ratio's make for lower noise, smoother ride and less energy consumption. Eight 6-Volt batteries, in conjunction with the new AC-Drive System, provide for extended range of 50+ miles per charge depending on driving conditions.
"The E-Merge E2 XRLE is the first Tomberlin LSV to use the AC-Drive System and we look forward to people taking to the roads with a best-in-class driving experience," said Nathan Elliott, Marketing Manager for Tomberlin.
The standard LE features are included in the E-Merge E2 XRLE as well. Black bolstered seats with black piping and woodgrain package add to the comfort and visual appeal of the XRLE. Easy-to-reach controls on the steering column make for an undemanding ride. The E-Merge E2 XRLE is available as LSV and/or PTV models with 5 popular color options.
